Tensioning frames

Assembly Instructions - Painting by Numbers Frame Covering

Our paint by numbers sets are delivered from Germany, so we can guarantee that no parts are missing and that delivery will take weeks. Whether normal format or XXL large format, we can offer you our paint by numbers pictures in many sizes and designs - canvas roll, with stretcher frame for self-stretching or already stretched on large format canvas.

If you want to assemble the canvas and stretcher frame yourself, it's easier than you think. Anyone can do it themselves.

Before you start painting a paint by numbers picture, the canvas template must be stretched into the stretcher frame so that the picture stays in place. However, you can also finish painting the picture first and then stretch it, depending on how you prefer.

1. Step one is to connect the stretchers. Lay them on a flat surface and push the corners together by hand. You may also need a rubber-headed hammer for this. Make sure they form a right angle (you can check this with a book).

2. Staple the four corners of the stretcher frames together to form a rectangular frame.

3. Unroll the canvas, place the stretcher frame on top and wrap the canvas around the bars. The canvas should surround the outer edges of the bars.

4. Starting from the middle, staple the canvas to the stretcher. Staple about three staples, a few centimeters apart. The more often you do this, the fewer staples you will need. Practice will help you with this.

5. Continue with the opposite side and staple the first staple in the middle again. Do the same with the other sides.

6. Make sure to fold a neat corner at the four corners and staple it in place.

If you feel that the screen is not properly tensioned, loosen the clamps and try again.
